🇺🇸Today we honor all who served and those who made the ultimate sacrifice. We proudly recognize OPSU alumnus Denver M. Porter.

After earning his degree in Business Administration from Oklahoma Panhandle State, Porter dedicated his life to service as a U.S. Air Force officer, retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel. His leadership spanned critical roles in operations, planning, and training during pivotal moments in history.

Thank you, Lt. Col. Porter, and all veterans, for your courage, commitment, and sacrifice.

“Receiving this award means a lot to me. I live for any opportunity to learn from others, and it’s so nice to get recognized for staying on the scene and being as involved as I can be with the game I love. To be with other leaders that look like me, who work with students looking for mentors on and off the court—representation matters. It’s an honor that I don’t take lightly.”
